At Archivista we specialise in the restoration and presentation of old and recent photographs. We understand the importance of preserving such images and recognise the delicate care and attention they require.
We provide a variety of options using state of the art digital technology without the need for original negatives. We leave your original photograph in its current state, and will be returned to you in the exact condition that we received it. This means that your original can be retained in addition to the restored copy.
With digital restoration we can repair all kinds of damage to restore your image to its former glory, or modify the image itself to transform it into what you always wished it could be. Bring your photo in to us and we can outline all the options available to you.
Having completed the restoration process, we produce a high quality photographic print in black & white, sepia or colour. We offer two choices of paper and encourage people to visit us and see our samples.
For heritage or precious photos we highly recommend Hahnemuhle Photo Rag: a heavy weight, archival, fine art paper made of 100% cotton, which is tested to last 200 years when handled with care. This is an extremely high quality and versatile paper that produces vivid colour, and rich sepias and black & whites.
Alternatively, if price is an issue, we also offer our standard, quality photographic paper, with matt, satin or gloss finish.
